Hopes, Dreams, and Classroom Rules

After listening to the story,  Dream: A Tale of Wonder, Wisdom & Wishes by Susan V. Bosak, Robert Ingpen and James Bennett, students in Room 13 were challenged to identify their own hopes and dreams for second grade.   Here is what they came up with:

Michael: This year I want to be the best student I can be.
Danny: My goal is to be better at number grids.
Rachel: This year I want to get better at addition.
Hayden: My dream is to be a really good listener.
Cyrus: This year my dream is to get better at multiplication.
Nate: My goal for second grade is to get better at handwriting.
Bridget: My dream is to get better at my handwriting.
Emily: I want to make more friends in the class.
Zach:  I want to get better at reading books.
Nick: My goal is to get better at science.
Kyra: My dream for second grade is to get better at reading.
Rohan:  My goal is to bet the best student in the whole entire school.
Alex: I want to be better at reading chapter books.
Li: This year I want to help others.
Miranda: My goal is to get better at math.
Maddie: In second grade I want to get better at telling time.
Marissa: My dream is to get good at math.
Ava: My dream is to get better at reading.
